NASA – Test Aircraft Photo History
By Henry Tenby

Over the decades NASA has used a varied and interesting mix of aircraft to conduct flight test research for the US based flight and space test and research government agency. NASA has two flight test bases one being at Moffett Field South of San Francisco in Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County, and the other being at the Langley Research Center at Langley AFB in Hampton, Virginia, not too far from Washington, DC.
