Airliner World, April, 2011

During the past several years Air North’s reliable and rugged Hawker Siddeley HS748 aircraft have been operating summer fishing charter programmes out of Vancouver’s South Terminal.

During the peak summer fishing months, wealthy US fisherman congregate at high end luxury fishing lodges on BC’s west coast to partake in some of the best salmon fishing to be found anywhere.

The Air North HS748 is perfectly suited for these fishing charters as not only can they transport the fishermen in spacious comfort (compared to a cramped Dash 8), but the HS748 is also capable of a flexible combi configuration to accommodate all the fish and supplies.

My article below appeared in Airliner World and details Air North’s HS748 summer fishing charter programme in 2010.
