This DVD starts off with our Aerolineas Argentinas MD-83 flight from the Buenos Aires Aeroparque down
to Ushuaia. We board the aircraft on the apron just before sun up, and enjoy an early daylight departure from the
Aeroparque. Our four hour flight south to Ushuaia passes quickly and we're soon on final approach to the Ushuaia
Airport in Tierra Del Fuego.
Ushuaia has to be one of the most scenic airport settings in the world. Neslted against mountains on the Magellin Straight at
the southern most tip of South America, the towering snow-capped mountains set against the open water and the clear
air makes this a very special airport for aircraft enthusiasts and spotters. This DVD shows our landing and taxi-in to the
gate from the aircraft cabin along with exterior footage as well.
After an introduction to the sights of picturesque Ushuaia, we spend time at the spectacular Ushuaia airport.
The Lineas Aereas Del Estado - LADE Fokker F27 and the weekly Aerolineas Argentinas 747-400 flight from Buenos Aires
are the star attractions along with Aerolineas Argentinas MD-83 action and LAN's A320 service. We then board our
Aerolineas MD-83 for the flight back to the Aeroparque in Buenos Aires. The DVD includes the taxi and departure at
Ushuaia as well as the interesting night landing and taxi to the parking stand at the Aeroparque.
The next day we spend time soaking up the jet action at the Aeroparque. The DVD features an action-packed fifteen minute
segment of Aeroparque footage including Boeing 737-200 action of Aeronlineas Argentinas, Lan Argentina, Austral, as well as
Aerolineas MD-83 and 737-500 action and more.
All good holidays must come to an end, and it is time for us to say "Adios" to Argentina and the Aeroparque. Filmed from
the boarding gate, we board our Pluna Boeing 737-200 and DVD footage includes push back and engine start filmed from both
the exterior of the aircraft, as well as the passenger cabin over the wing. After a taxi to the departure runway, our
Pluna Boeing 737-200 is quickly airborne on climb out over the River Plate with a nice view of the Aeroparque below. Argentina
is a superb country to visit for aviation enthusiasts and non-aviation enthusiasts alike. We shall return!
