In the late 1980s and early 1990s, Miami International Airport
boasted the world's largest collection of classic propliners and
vintage Boeing 707 and DC-8 jetliners. Back then, Miami was the
undisputed mecca for airliner photographers. Miami aviation
slide shooter legend Eddy Gual luckily documented all the action
on video. This DVD is a highlight of those now distant memories
of when the classic props and jets called Miami home.
This DVD serves up nearly two solid hours of nothing but classic
propliner action, and classic heart-pounding 707 and DC-8
action. The first hour features the Wrangler and Tradewinds
CL-44s, a Cuban An-2 and An-24, AMSA and Aerochago Connies,
DC-4s and DC-6s, a piston Guppy, L-188 Electras (TAN and
SAHSA), an Andover, G-I, KC-97, Convairs and more.
The second hour features DC-8-50s (LAC, General Air Cargo,
Andes, ACS Cargo Canada,) a DC-8-61 of Trans-Continental,
DC-8-62s (Peru Air Force, Rich Intl. passenger & cargo, Arrow)
DC-8-63s (Challenge Air Cargo & Rich), and many Boeing 707s
(Guyana Airways, SAETA, Ecuatoriana, Aeronica's 707-123B,
Fast Air, Florida West, Avianca, Lan Chile, Ladeco, Tampa
Colombia, Aerosur, Lloyd Aero Boliviano). Viva Miami!
